Due to extensive filming taking place in the area, please note that on Sunday 8 March The Courtauld Gallery will only be accessible from the Strand entrance. There will be no through access from any other Somerset House entrance points.  

Access from Temple Underground station is available via Arundel Street or west along Victoria Embankment turning north at Lancaster Place and east at the Strand.  Please note Surrey Street will be closed for most of the day. Disabled access will be available via Lancaster place.

We apologise if this causes any disturbance to your visit .

If you have pre-booked your tickets to The Courtauld Gallery and are late for your timeslot due to difficulties accessing the area, you will be admitted as soon as you arrive.

arrow The Drawings and Prints Room can be visited by appointment.

arrow Closed 25 and 26 December. Last admission at 15.30 on 24 December.

Please note: All tickets include a £1 voluntary donation to The Courtauld Institute of Art. Prices excluding the donation are £1 less.

The Courtauld Gallery no longer offers free admission on Mondays.

For free admission you do not need to book in advance but you will need to get a free ticket when you arrive from the Admissions Desk. During busy periods you may need to queue.
