Spring School, Summer School and Study Trips
The first Courtauld Institute of Art Spring School ran for one week from
March 29 to April 2. We are very pleased with the interest shown in the
Spring School and look forward to holding it again next year.
As in 2003, we will hold the Summer School for three weeks in July,
from July 5 to 23. The courses are on a range of topics from Ancient
to Modern art, and each lasts for one week, Monday to Friday. They
are taught in small groups by the Courtauld Institute staff and other
experts and involve lectures, visits to galleries, museums and buildings,
often with special access to certain collections, as well as a party
in the Courtauld Gallery. Many students return year after year but
the Spring and Summer Schools also welcome newcomers, including students
from the age of 16. The fee for each course is £350.
Study Trips are opportunities to spend two or more intensive but relaxing
days abroad in a selection of European cities with an expert in the field,
looking at works of art and architecture first hand. Travel arrangements
are not included; students are free to make their own. We are organising
trips to Istanbul, Bruges, Berlin, Venice, Rome, Assisi and Siena.
