SMart and the Courtauld Institute of Art Public Programmes form a joint initiative to bring together socially marginalised artists living in the London area. SMart workshops reach out to socially excluded people throughout London by offering the opportunity to experience and make art in an interactive, professional manner. All workshops are artist-led and involve both a gallery visit and practical session in the Learning Centre. There is a maximum of 15 places available per session.

Common Ground

An exhibition of art works made and curated by the SMart artists and inspired by the collections in the Courtauld Gallery, was held in the Gallery Cafe between 13 March - 29 June 2008. A new exhibition will be held in the Gallery Cafe later in 2009.
