Showcasing Art History lecture series

The autumn term of our popular Tuesday evening lecture series, Showcasing Art History, begins on 5th October 2010.

The series combines cutting-edge art-historical thinking with an accessible delivery; lectures are suitable for a general audience.

Each term investigates a theme of fundamental art-historical importance from a variety of perspectives and across different historical periods and geographical regions.

All lectures start at the new time of 7.15pm in the Kenneth Clark lecture theatre, Courtauld Institute of Art. Each lecture lasts for one hour and is followed by an informal drinks reception.

The talks are given by members of Courtauld staff and by associated eminent guest lecturers.  In 2010-11 they include the following : Dr Marta Ajmar; Dr Stephanie Buck; Dr Joanna Cannon; Dr Michael Douglas-Scott; Jim Harris; Dr Cecily Hennessy; Dr Nancy Ireson; Dr Sarah James; Dr Jerzy Kierkuc-Bielinski; Dr Caroline Levitt; Professor John Lowden; Nicola Moorby; Dr Claire O'Mahony; Professor Susie Nash; Dr Scott Nethersole; Dr Satish Padiyar; Edward Payne; Clare Richardson; Dr Julian Stallabrass; Dr Peter Stewart; Dr Rose Walker; Dr Ursula Weekes; Dr Richard Williams.
