Courtauld Institute of Art/Centre Allemand d’Histoire de l’Art/Deutsches Forum für Kunstgeschichte Predoctoral Fellowship for a Courtauld Institute doctoral candidate
For period 1 February 2008 to 31 January 2009
Stipend: Euros 1,600 per month

The Courtauld Institute of Art Research Forum is offering, in partnership with the Centre Allemand d’Histoire de l’Art/ Deutsches Forum für Kunstgeschichte, a twelve month predoctoral fellowship, to be held by a Courtauld Institute doctoral candidate whose research project concerns French art before 1800.  The fellowship will be awarded from 1 February 2008 to 31 January 2009.  The successful candidate will be affiliated with the Centre Allemand in Paris for that time, when the candidate is expected to be resident in Paris.

Pre-selection of candidates will be undertaken by the Courtauld Institute of Art Research Committee in November 2007 and will be followed by a final selection in December 2007 by the Research Forum International Advisory Board.  The nominated candidate’s application will be sent to the Centre Allemand for approval.  The appointment will be confirmed by 15 January 2008, and the Fellow will take up the fellowship in Paris from 1 February 2008.
