The Courtauld is known around the world for its academic excellence and the quality of its teaching. In the 2008 UK Government Research Assessment Exercise, The Courtauld achieved first place in the ‘power ranking’ in art history and conservation research; in overall quality of all UK universities and colleges, The Courtauld came second nationally. With a teaching staff of 30, Courtauld academics supervise students on BA, MA and PhD programmes, covering the full range of art and architecture of the Western world from Classical antiquity to the present day, as well as the conservation of easel and wall paintings. People are what make The Courtauld the leading institution for the study of art history and salaries for our academic and other staff, make up well over half The Courtauld’s budget.
How can you help?
Examples:
£30K+ per annum: support and name an academic post in your period of interest for one year
£15k+ per annum: contribute to an MA course of your interest.
£5k+ per annum: contribute to one of our art history departments of your interest
£5k+ per annum: support Academic Excellence or Special Research Grants
£25k+: All the above can be endowed in your name in perpetuity.
