Gray M.C.A in partnership with The Courtauld Institute of Art London is proud to present TWO very special Masterclass Sketch Night Evenings lead by the highly influential and celebrated American Fashion Illustrator Bil Donovan. This is a unique opportunity to learn from a true master known internationally for the sophistication, glamour and style of his fashion drawing.
During the evening you will be invited to draw couture fashion modelled by live models under the masterful direction of Donovan. He will inspire, teach and give feedback on your drawings whilst also learning how he approaches his work and what inspires and influences his practice.

Donovan is Professor of Illustration at both FIT and The School of Visual Arts, New York. He serves on the Executive Board of The Society of Illustrators, New York and chairs the Advisory Board for the Frances Neady Collection of Fashion Illustration.
As an artist, author and educator, Donovan has won huge acclaim in both the worlds of art and fashion. In 2009 he was appointed Artist in Residence for Christian Dior, a role he continues today. He regularly works with the leading names in advertising, beauty, editorial and fashion including Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, The Costume Institute Metropolitan Museum of Art, The New York Times, Luxure Magazine, L’Occitane, Saks Fifth Avenue, LVMH, Halston, St Regis Hotels and many more.
Schooled in the finest traditions of fine art drawing, he works with swift fluid lines that capture the essence of elegance, proportion and gesture. His is a subscriber to the idea that less is more creating images that are the epitome of sophistication in a contemporary style.
