New York Alumni Event – Katy Moran Exhibition, Sperone Westwater

The Courtauld Alumni Association, Betsy Thomas (MA 1999) and Andrew Lee (MA 2010) would like to invite alumni in New York to attend a private view of Katy Moran’s new exhibition at Sperone Westwater Gallery.

Katy Moran, I Want to Live in the Afternoon of that Day
Tuesday 9 April
6pm – 8pm

Sperone Westwater
257 Bowery
New York, NY 10002

I Want to Live in the Afternoon of that Day is Katy Moran’s first solo exhibition at Sperone Westwater. The new works in the exhibition are painted on found paintings purchased from secondhand shops and markets, and their sense of space and light reflects Moran’s recent relocation from central London to the nearby countryside.

Katy Moran lives and works in Hertfordshire. She was born in Manchester and completed an MA in painting at the Royal College of Art in 2005. Moran’s work has been the subject of solo exhibitions at Parasol Unit Foundation for Contemporary Art, Douglas Hyde Gallery, Wexner Center for the Arts, Tate St. Ives and Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art. Her work is held in public collections including Tate, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Walker Art Center, and the Arts Council Collection.

Please RSVP to alumni@courtauld.ac.uk by Friday 5 April.
